Drum Castle and Gardens

The combination over the years of a 13thC square tower, a very fine Jacobean mansion and additions by Victorian lairds makes Drum Castle unique among Scottish castles. Owned for 653 years by one family, every stone is steeped in history. Superb furniture and paintings provide a visual feast for the visitor. In the 16thC chapel, the stained glass window, the font copied from a Saxon original in Winchester Cathedral and the Augsburg silver Madonna, all add interest. The walled garden has a unique Garden of Historic Roses.
